THOMAS C. WEST, CLU, ChFC, AIF® Senior Partner
Over a twenty-six year career, Tom has had significant experience in advising families struggling with how to support a loved one diagnosed with a chronic illness, disability or dementia. In 2018, Tom launched the Lifecare Affordability Plan®, a fixed-fee financial planning and asset management solution designed to provide families with a financial strategy that meets changing healthcare needs while preserving the caregiver’s quality of life.
Tom is regularly interviewed for his perspective by periodicals such as the Wall Street Journal, The Washington Post, Investment News, and The New York Times, and he regularly educates financial professionals, attorneys, tax professionals and geriatric care managers on the most appropriate financial planning techniques for families facing long term care decisions. Tom has been nationally published numerous times in peer-reviewed professional journals on topics such as Advising Clients Under Stress, A Fiduciary Approach for Clients Who Need Long Term Services and Supports, and Appropriate Investment Strategies During a Period of Care.
Tom’s community service in the aging and disability area has earned him recognition from a variety of non-profits and local government groups. In 2020, Tom was also invited to join the board of the Jewish Council for the Aging (JCA), a community-oriented senior support organization that serves the DC metro area. He is currently the Vice-Chair of the Corporate Board of Goodwin House Inc., a leading non-profit LifePlan Community in Virginia. He previously served in leadership positions on the boards of Insight Memory Care Center and the National Capital Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association.
ARVETTE M. REID
Client Services Director
Arvette M. Reid joined the practice after working for 15 years as a marketing professional in the senior healthcare and housing industry where her tenure spanned a range of independent living, assisted living, nursing care, dementia, and hospice services. Her ability to bring the financial and healthcare worlds together truly makes a powerful impact on how we serve our families who are going through trying times.
Arvette's deep commitment to civic engagement and local issues was established as a youth while visiting residents at Goodwin House in her hometown of Alexandria, Virginia. Arvette currently serves as the Board Chair for the Insight Memory Care Center, and she is an active member of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She has been featured in articles such as 4 Steps to Prepare Aging Parents for Healthy, Happy Lives and What are the first financial steps to take for an aging senior? and How to Handle the Financial Responsibility of Taking Care of Aging Parents.
GLENN McGREGOR, CFP®
Glenn McGregor is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional with over 15 years of experience in comprehensive financial planning and investment services. Glenn develops strategic recommendations to aid families in growing, preserving, and distributing their wealth.
GABRIELLA CAJINA, CFP®
Gabriella Cajina is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional responsible for assisting with building out preliminary scenarios, coordinating data collection, and onboarding clients. After four years of working in SEIA client services, Gabriella now takes an active role in bringing on and servicing Lifecare Affordability Plan clients.

She brings strong sales professional skills in customer relationship management, team building, and account management to LCAP. Cynthia loves working with seniors and their families to make a positive impact.
